U.S. Chamber Names Rise Health as
Small Business Award Winner
Rise Health, an ACO enablement company based in Jacksonville, Fla., is one of 75 small businesses in the nation to receive the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Blue Ribbon Small Business Award.
Rise, which developed an innovative health-care technology system deployed in its practice support center last year, will be honored at America’s Small Business Summit 2012, held May 21-23 in Washington, D.C. The awards program attracted a record number of applicants and honors companies that demonstrated excellent business practices in several areas: strategy, employee development, community involvement and customer service.
"These award winners embody the spirit of American free enterprise," said U.S. Chamber President Thomas J. Donahue.
As a Blue Ribbon Award winner, Rise Health is entered into the running for the U.S. Chamber-sponsored Community Excellence Award. This award highlights companies that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in promoting community excellence. On March 15, seven Blue Ribbon recipients will be named finalists, and one will be named the DREAM BIG Small Business of the year during the summit.
Rise Health is dedicated to reducing medical costs while increasing access to care, improving clinical quality and the overall patient experience. The company trained patient care coordinators to traverse state-of-the-art information systems that placed them as an extension of primary care practices. Rise Health staffers connected patients to primary care, reducing hospital readmission rates by preventing unnecessary emergency room visits. Rise launched a major transformation project for a large Northeast hospital last year and is now making plans to provide accountable care solutions to health-care providers in Florida and elsewhere.
