Kate Design :: Giveaway!

Images courtesy of Kate Design

This is definitely one of the most amazing giveaways I have had the pleasure of doing to date.

Maria Darby, co-founder of Kate Design, reached out to me about her scarves recently. I say her scarves, although they are the brain child of Maria's as well as Kate Spencer, the line's namesake. I love me some scarves and honestly it takes quite a bit to impress me in that realm. The second I went to the Kate Design website, I was bowled over with awe.

Kate paints the designs in her studio in St. Kitts, which are then digitally transferred to the scarves themselves. They are each 90% Modal and 10% Cashmere, and retail for $225 for one layer and $325 for two layers. Can we just talk about the size for a second? 50in x 60in. I. Die. As far as I am concerned, the bigger the scarf the better, right?! Given their large size, each scarf can also be used as a sarong, and there are a number of other creative ways to wear it as well I am sure. Use your imagination! {or frame it?}

I honestly cannot pick a favorite out of their current West Indies collection. The Egret {top photo above} and Seahorse {immediately above} are just out of this world...but then again, they ALL are! What a dream to add one to your wardrobe, right?

Maria sent over the Blue Palms scarf that "captures the natural magic of island nights." After seeing it I could not agree more. This may be the first time I have ever described a scarf as breathtaking, and even then, I'm not sure that covers it.

Are you as taken as I am with these beautiful creations??? Their next collection will be available mid-November, just in time for the holidays. What a truly unique gift for a very special person in your life! The packaging is lovely as well and would be such a delight for any woman to find beneath the tree.
